Purchasing dance shoes and dance apparel online can be a tricky business, however our team have a vast knowledge of how the shoes and clothing fit so can advise you before you make your purchase - they are just a quick call away.

Costumes and Special Orders

If you are looking for competition or recital costumes, please give us a call as we have access to some very special ranges, some of which are only available from Pure Dance.  We stock quality European, American, Australian and New Zealand brands.
 

Pointe Fittings

Pointe fittings are available at both the Eden Terrace - Auckland and Tauranga stores. 
We prefer customers to make appointments for pointe fittings to minimise wait time, should we already have a fitting booked. 
If it is not possible to make an appointment then that is fine, however there may be a short delay while we finish the booked fittings.  There are great coffee shops close by!

If you are unable to make it to our store then we do operate a Remote Fitting Service - please call 09 3798039 to have the process explained to you.
 

Delivery

We dispatch our orders promptly - on the same day if ordered before 1pm. 
Most of our deliveries are made using Post Haste Couriers however we use NZ Post for Rural Deliveries. 
Free Delivery offer applies to orders over $200.00 delivered to standard NZ postal addresses, Rural Deliveries do not qualify for Free Delivery (this includes Waiheke Island).  You may want to consider using a friends address in town for delivery. Unfortunately couriers are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

Delivery to the North Island via courier service is usually next business day although please allow 2 business days.  In the South Island delivery is 2 business days in normal circumstances.  You will receive an email notifying you of the tracking details.  Please contact your local depot to track your item.
If a product is out of stock you will be advised and a time frame for delivery given.

 

Shipping, Exchange and Returns

Below is our standard shipping offer, effective 1 October 2022:

We offer Free Shipping for orders over $200.00 to New Zealand residential addresses.  We also offer 1 free exchange.  This means that if you purchase a pair of shoes and you find you need a different size then you pay the return shipping, and we'll send out the new pair to you free of charge.  For any subsequent exchanges freight will be charged. 

If you order a product but want to return it and not receive an exchange, then all return freight charges are payable by you.  We do not Refund shipping charges.

We offer a "No Questions Asked" refund and/or exchange policy (for non-clearance items) when goods are returned to us within 14 days of dispatch.  Goods must be returned in perfect saleable condition, with tags on and in original packaging.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange if the goods are in used, worked, or damaged condition.

Clearance or Sale items may not be returned for a refund so please choose carefully.

Please pack your return carefully so the original packaging and product are protected.  Please enclose a note giving your name, order number and the reason for the return.  We require the Tax Invoice as Proof of Purchase.  The goods are returned at your risk so please consider this when packing and sending your goods - we recommend you use a courier or tracked mail service.

We do not retain credit card details so will need to contact you for your credit card number, please consider this when deciding which phone number to include - we need to be able to contact you.  If the details requested are not provided, then this may result in a delay in processing your refund.

We do not accept returns from International customers.

Dance Schools

Pure Dance offers significant discounts to dance studios who buy on behalf of their students.  This can be a very useful service for dance studios who are unable to refer their students to a local retailer.  We stock uniform items for most syllabus and can provide sizing samples to make the process easier for studio owners.

We offer several costuming options for competitions and recitals.  Many of our items can be customised to be unique. We hold some items in stock, but most are ordered specifically for studios. Again, we offer sizing samples so you can be sure of the fit before ordering.
