The Donatella pointe shoe has been thoughtfully designed with an array of features, such as the ability to roll to demi-pointe with ease due to the #1 shank board at the ball of the foot. The Donatella has a moderate, slightly tapered toe box and a firm, #3 leather board shank. It is lined with Capezio's rose colour plush inner lining for extra comfort as well as reduced slipping. The slight "U" shaped throat flatters the arch and creates an overall sleeker appearance while the wide platform assists with much-needed balance at the barre. Ideal for a moderate (Greek) foot.

I havent been able to find these pointe shoes in over 2 years so i was so happy that pure dance sold them. These shoes are so good since they are quarter shank i didn't have to break them in or do anything to them in saying that they are dead after only wearing them for a few hours which isnt normal for me as the capezio avas can last me 10 to 15 hours of wear.
If your deciding between Avas or Donatellas keep in mind they are two completly different shoes I only have the Avas because I couldn't find the Donatellas and they dont work for my feet as i have quite short toes and Avas have a pretty long vamp unlike the Donatellas.
If you have strong feet i dont recomend these shoes because I dont have very strong feet and as i said they only last me a few hours.
Overall they are a nice shoe easy to roll through the shoes as they have a very flexible shank - Dont buy if you have strong feet unless your only planning on wearing them for a short period. I would say they are beginner friendly these shoes were one of my first ive been on pointe for 5 years now and after going back to them i found them to be very easy to dance in!
